  • Atomizer: It is a term that refers to the tank of your device, although it can also indicate more advanced ones such as repairable ones ( RDA, RTA and RDTA ). It is the part of the device that contains the liquid and in which the resistance is installed.
  • Batteries: Inside your device is the battery , is the one that transmits the power to your kit, in addition to being responsible for the autonomy of your device. It can be of different types, although it is normal for it to be integrated or external. Within the external ones there are different models, however, the most common is the 18650.

  • DL: It is the abbreviation of one of the vaping modes depending on the puff. It comes from the English term Direct To Lung (Direct to the Lung) and occurs when the resistances are less than 1.0ohm. It is a more open type of puff that goes directly to the lung, as opposed to the other type of vaping , known as mouth to lung or MTL.
  • MTL: This is short for a style of vaping , and is often the starting point for people making the move from traditional cigarettes to vaping . MTL (short for Mouth To Lung ) is a tighter type of puff, similar to cigarettes, that first draws the vapor into the mouth before passing into the lungs. It is usually given with the most closed airflow control and with resistances greater than 1.0ohm.

  • E-Liquid: Also known simply as liquid, it is one of the essential ingredients for vaping . The liquids are composed of vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, aromas, in addition to being able to carry or not nicotine, depending on our tastes. Today there are hundreds of flavor combinations, as well as different concentrations of glycerin and propylene glycol depending on whether you want to further enhance the flavor or the vapor.
  • VG: It is the abbreviation of Vegetable Glycerin . This component of liquids is a natural substance that serves as a thickener. VG is a colorless, non-toxic liquid with no aroma. Normally the higher the proportion of VG, the higher the vapor production and the less throat hit. High VG or High VG are considered those liquids with a percentage equal to or greater than 70% of vegetable glycerin.
  • PG: Propylene glycol is the other essential substance found in vaping liquids. It is a virtually odorless alcohol and is commonly used in medicines as well as other products to retain their moisture. The PG transmits the flavor better and achieves a greater hit in the throat, although it produces a smaller amount of vapor.
  • Nicotine: Liquids for vaping can carry different proportions of nicotine or not, those that carry nicotine usually vary between 3mg and 55mg. There are two different types of nicotine for vaping: 1) Free base nicotine, which is absorbed more slowly but remains in the body longer. 2) Nicotine salts , which are absorbed much faster and also leave the body sooner. It is currently the most popular option for people who have just quit smoking.
  • Mod: Mods or Box Mods are usually powerful devices that have a screen, power control, as well as a multitude of advanced features and security systems. They can have an integrated battery, or work with an external battery, with two, or even in some cases, with three of them (although it is very rare).
  • Pod: The pods They are small, compact devices with attractive designs, which normally have little power and are specially designed for people who want to quit smoking and are looking for a simple vape that is more similar to a traditional cigarette. These types of devices have changed the atomizer for a cartridge that also works as a tank, containing the liquid and the resistance to allow vaping .
  • Pod Mod: The latest trend in devices are the Pod Mods , devices that merge the best of both ranges of devices, the size, design and cartridges of the Pods, together with the characteristics of the Mods such as greater power, different modes vaping, security systems, among others.
  • Cartridge: Cartridges , also called pods by the English term, are the tanks used by Pod-type devices. There are several types, they can be closed in those that carry the liquid and the integrated resistance and once the liquid is finished, the cartridge must be disposed of; there are disposable ones, which have the integrated resistance and in which you can fill several times with liquid and are thrown away when the resistance reaches the end of its useful life; and finally, reusable cartridges, in which both the liquid and the resistances themselves can be changed.
  • Resistors: Also known by the English term, coils, They are one of the most important components for vaping . They are made of a metal thread (which can be Kanthal, stainless steel, nickel or titanium), as well as absorbent material, usually organic cotton, which absorbs the e-liquid and evaporates it when heated to generate the vapor that we vape.
  • Kanthal: It is the most common metal in resistors. It is perfect as it heats up and cools down quickly, it has a good flavor and is ideal for use with temperature control.
  • Ohms: They are the unit of measurement for resistance. Those with more than 1.0ohm are considered mouth-lung vaping coils, intended for use with devices with less than 20W and allowing vaping with higher nicotine levels. Resistances of less than 1.0ohm are considered sub-ohm and are designed for direct lung vaping and use with lower levels of nicotine (or without it) and allowing vaping with liquids with a higher percentage of VG, in addition to being able to used at higher power.
  • Regulated and unregulated mods: The vast majority of vaping devices are regulated, which means that they have an electronic chip that allows you to control the power that reaches the atomizer, as well as having different security systems to allow completely safe vaping . There is a type of non-regulated devices, the mechanical mods . These types of devices pass the power from the batteries directly to the atomizer, without any control system except those that can be applied by the user. They are mods designed for very experienced people, since all security systems depend on the person who is using them, and must know everything related to batteries, ohmage, among others.
  • Temperature control: Temperature control or TC is a vaping mode that emerged in parallel with power control. This helps to maintain the temperature level of the resistance, which allows a more consistent, smoother vaping and usually a longer duration of the resistances because it does not suffer these constant temperature changes. This type of vaping is limited to devices that feature the TC option and for use exclusively with nickel (Ni), titanium (Ti) or stainless steel (SS) coils.
  • Power: Some devices may have a fixed power that can be constant, if it maintains maximum power throughout the battery life, or variable, if it has its maximum power with a newly charged battery and decreases as we vape throughout of the day However, the most common mode of vaping today is power control. Advanced mods usually have a power control mode (VW) that allows us to choose the power at which we vape (always depending on the power range allowed by the resistance we are using). The higher the power, the greater the amount of vapor and flavor but at the same time greater consumption of battery, liquid and shorter duration of the resistance.
